Mothers’ Day-I’ll Cook
Dear All,
I just want to let you that to show my appreciation for my mom, my wife and the moms in my family. I am going to cook this weekend, BBQ. FYI, my family is “huge”. This weekend when we get together there will be around 12 couples including my parents and 30+ nieces and nephews-not the whole family though. Usually my wife and/or my sisters and SIL cook when we get together like this. That’s basically Vietnamese’s tradition. And it’s good in some way but not in the others. But we’ve changed a lots in the last few years. Instead of only women in the family cook, men have to take turn sometimes. And this is a good occasion for men to roll up their sleeve and do something for wife or mom if single. I think I will enjoy my cooking this weekend since I now realize it my pay back.
